The Shark Spotting program uses Twitter as an information service for the public.

The program will tweet shark sightings at Shark Spotter beaches as they happen, and let the public know when the beach has been reopened.

Twitter will also be used to inform the public of any periods of high shark activity and cautions that may be put in place, along with other updates about the program.

Due to limited time and resources we are unable to respond directly to questions asked via the Twitter service.

We urge people with questions to first view our website (www.sharkspotters.org.za) as this comprehensively covers information about the program, or to contact us directly via email or telephone using the contact details provided on the website.
