Keep in touch with the latest news from Shark Spotters

Can I come and see someone to find out more about Shark Spotters?

Yes you may! Our information centre, located on Muizenberg Beach in Surfers Corner, is open to the public every day from 8:00 till 18:00, free of charge! Someone will always be there to answer any questions you may have.

Do you ever give talks to the public?

Yes we do. It is best to arrange formal talks/presentations at least a week or two in advance by emailinginfo@sharkspotters.org.za or phoning 078 1744 244.

What kind of talks do you give?

We generally talk about the Shark Spotters programme and how it all works, but also focus on beach safety, tips about staying safe whilst in the water, shark research and shark conservation. If you like we can talk about all of these aspects or just focus on one specific aspect, it is up to you!

What age groups do you typically talk to?

We can give presentations to any age group and will cater our content for their specific needs.

How much do you charge to give a talk/presentation?

We do not charge an amount, however it would be great if the cost of our fuel is paid for. And donations to our organisation are always welcome!

Please wear a mask, sanitise your hands and maintain a social distance when visiting Shark Spotters locations.
